After the invention of transistors and other solid state devices the Electronics & Communication branch has grown with a tremendous pace. Today electronics has become an integral part of life. It plays a vital role in almost all types of industries. The emphasis of department is to maintain the right blend of theory and practice so that the students are molded into competent professionals. We emphasize to engage students in learning the concepts, theories, technologies in real time practical approach. We advocate students to adopt project activities to meet the need for engineering judgment, teamwork, careful planning and successful execution. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty members and all the labs are well equipped and fully furnished as per latest technology. B. Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering has an intake capacity of 120 and is a 4 year duration course. The department enables the students to develop professional skills through practical, theory work and technical visits to industries.
- This course provides students with broad-based skills and knowledge in electronics engineering that includes the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of faults in electronics equipments, systems and networks.
- The objective of the ECE department is to provide education for those students who are able to compete nationally, able to produce creative solution to the society’s needs, conscious to the universal moral values, adherent to the professional ethical code and technologies required to the local and global needs in the field of ECE.
The Electronics and communication field includes many possible careers. Three of the highest paying career options in the ECE field are electronic equipment repairers, electrical and electronic drafter and being an electronics engineers. The job duties for this career includes researching and testing all kinds of equipments for fields such as systems, Broadcast system, mechatronics (includes mechanical, electronic as well as computer science), acoustics, GPS etc. The ECE students also have many options to choose from when it comes to career specialization including signal processing, control system , Microwave, Embedded system, VLSI design, Wireless and optical Communication etc.
